RAW files and large libraries
Screen permission, explained. Before macOS shows its capture dialog, Teserra tells you what it will say and why, so the first screenshot is not a surprise.
RAW files. Drop CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2 or DNG files into your library and they behave like any photo: real previews, EXIF and sensor data, full-size export, and a RAW entry in the Type filter.
Large libraries. Tens of thousands of items load and scroll smoothly, and rating or tagging one item no longer redraws the grid.
Search by tag. Type a tag name and every item that carries it comes up.

Clipper on the Chrome Web Store
Chrome Web Store listing. Teserra Clipper installs in one click from the store. No developer mode, no unpacked folder.
Back on every welcome step. Add-ons, Intelligence and Capture had no way back. Now they do.
Help opens support. Teserra Help goes to teserra.app/support, and Settings links straight to the extension.

Agent access
MCP server. A local endpoint on 127.0.0.1 exposes your library to Claude Code, Raycast, Cursor or any MCP client. Off by default, one token to copy.
Read tools. Library overview, collections, tags, items, images, contact sheets, search by meaning, similar items.
Allow changes. Tags, collections, titles, ratings and URL imports, only when you switch it on. Every agent action is one ⌘Z away.
Agent journal. The last two hundred calls, in Settings, with what was asked and what was done.

The Wall
Wall view. A third layout next to Grid and Journal: your collection on a curved track, one piece in front, a cartel under each. Trackpad, arrows, click, Enter.
Random pick, R. One key picks a piece at random and the wall travels to it.
Fullscreen, F. Panels vanish, the work fills the screen. Escape brings them back.

Reading, links and the menu bar
Articles reading view. Saved pages read like a magazine: reading typography, summary, source, keywords, table of contents. Z for zen mode.
Peek, Space. Space opens a saved link as a live page inside a Teserra window. Space again closes it.
Link cards. 16:9 preview, title, note and site on a banner, a Broken badge when the page is gone, real YouTube thumbnails.
Link or article, decided for you. Paste a URL and Teserra chooses. A toast lets you switch.
Undo and redo, fifty steps. ⌘Z and ⌘⇧Z across tags, collections, titles, ratings and the trash, with a labeled Edit menu.
Menu bar panel. Last item added, quick captures, Open, Settings, Updates and Quit from the menu bar icon.
Captures view. Every screenshot lands in its own view the moment it is taken, with a five-second card to copy it or file it.
Add-ons, redesigned. Links, Articles, Visual search and Curator as switches, each with its own options page. Off hides, never deletes.
Chrome extension 0.4.6. Preview card, three Save as modes, grouped fields, ⌘↩ to save, light by default.

A better first day
Welcome flow. Where the library lives, what fills it, the local search model, screen capture permission. Four steps, each skippable, nothing created without asking.
Demo library in place. Try Teserra with a curated library inside your own vault, then remove the demo items in one click.
Feedback tickets. Settings, Help & Feedback, or ⌘⇧H. A bug or an idea becomes a ticket with a screenshot and diagnostics. You hear back when it ships.
Preparing your library. One progress bar for import, thumbnails and the visual index, and a search that tells you when the index is still building.
Cumulative release notes. Skip two versions and the update panel shows you everything you missed.

Files over app
Sidecars. Every title, tag, rating and collection is written in a small text file next to the original. The database is only a cache.
Rebuild from files. One button reconstructs the whole library from the folder. Tested on a real vault: every item, collection and tag came back.
Live folder watching. Edit a sidecar by hand, drop files from another Mac, let Dropbox or iCloud sync: the grid follows within seconds.
Conflict merge. Two Macs editing the same item? Tags and collections are merged, never lost. Latest wins for the rest.
iCloud offloading. Evicted files show a cloud badge and download themselves when opened.
Font cards, second edition. A giant pair of letters in the weight itself, the family name set in the font, the alphabet as a footnote.

Ship it
Studio capture. Capture a window onto a backdrop drawn from its own colors, add margins, arrows, frames, text, numbered badges and a redaction that destroys pixels for good. Save to the library or copy straight out.
Export, ⌘E. PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, HEIC, AVIF. Quality, longest side, batches with clean names.
Keyboard navigation. Arrows through the grid, Space to quick look and close, F for fullscreen, ⌘1 to ⌘6 between views.
Random sort. Reshuffles the library, stable while you scroll. Pick it again to reshuffle.
Seat management. Three Macs on one license. The fourth shows the list and lets you sign one out on the spot.
Settings in a column. App, Intelligence, More. Visual search and Curator each get their own page.

Type is an asset too
Font specimens. TTF, OTF and TTC render as composed specimens set in the face itself, with weight, glyph count and the scripts covered.
Font viewer. Free text, a size cascade from 12 to 72, the character table, an editorial page set in the font.
Install and uninstall. Into your Fonts folder from the inspector, with conflict detection.
Import installed fonts. One command pulls every active font on your Mac into the library.

Search the way you think
Visual search, on-device. A model runs on your Mac and indexes each image in about five milliseconds. Describe what you remember and the picture is there. No key, no cloud.
Find Similar, local. Any image surfaces its visual siblings across the library, image against image.
⌘K, one search. Exact words and visual matches in one list, grouped so you know why each result is there.
Journal. Your library by day and hour, long sessions stacked into piles that fan open, a rail of months.
Dates filter. A calendar with a heat map of your activity, combinable with every other filter.

Real photos
EXIF in the inspector. Camera, lens, exposure, date of capture, a map link for GPS. The capture date replaces the file date for sorting.
Search by camera or lens. Type Sony, ILCE-7RM5 or 24-70 and the photos come up.
HEIC, HEIF and AVIF. iPhone photos import with full metadata, originals untouched.
Pin to top. Pin an item at the head of a collection, above any sort.

Every format, real previews
SVG viewer. Vectors zoom sharp at any size, with backdrops and recoloring.
