Chrome extension
Teserra Clipper saves pages, articles and images from Chrome into the app running on your Mac. It talks only to your Mac, never to a server.
Install and connect
- Add Teserra Clipper from the Chrome Web Store.
- In Teserra, open Settings (⌘,) → General → Browser clipper and click Copy token. The token is the only thing that lets the extension talk to your library.
- Right-click the extension icon → Options. Paste the token, leave the port at
8788, save.
Teserra must be running. The extension sends to
127.0.0.1:8788, a server the app runs on your Mac only. Quit Teserra and the extension shows an error until you open it again.Three ways to save
- Image. The screenshot of the visible tab, or the page's share image. Toggle between the two on the preview.
- Link. A card with preview, title and site. In Teserra, Enter opens it in the browser, Space peeks at the live page.
- Article. The text of the page, extracted and kept as clean Markdown, readable offline and searchable. X threads work too, and tweet videos are saved locally.
Add a note, tags (autocompleted from your library) and a collection, then Save to Teserra or ⌘↩. The item appears in the grid instantly.
Right click any image
On any page, right-click an image → Send image to Teserra. The app downloads it in the background; a badge on the extension icon confirms the save.
If an add-on is off
Links and Articles are add-ons. If one is switched off in Teserra, the extension tells you instead of failing silently. Turn it back on in Settings → Add-ons.
